The new gate between Stan's Walk and the Recreation Ground, organised and actioned by the Parish Council has now been installed and is open for use. The fence alongside the walk has been re-tensioned for the last time, it is hoped, as the gate negates the neccessity to climb it to get into the ground!
Wow! what a time we all had on Sunday 30th August. The ride took us from the Waggon to the Red Lion in Caston, The Eagle in Great Hockham, The Dog & Partridge in Wretham and the Chequers in Thompson, then back to the Waggon & Horses, in all just over 14 miles. After being "piped" back into the village by the Phoenix Pipes, the participants were rewarded with burger/hot dog and chips by Scott and his team, and all then enjoyed "Harley Street" (who were fantastic), a great display by Caston Ishin Ryu Jujitsu club and Tara Pitcher's karaoke. The sum of £1,500 was raised, to be split between E.A.C.H. and the Priscilla Bacon Hospice. Well done everyone involved, organisers, Scott and his team at the Waggon and all who rode the course. See you all next year!!
