  1. The Parish Council has heard from the Chairman of Norfolk County Council's Environment, Development and Transport Committee, advising that some £300,000 of funds are now available for highway improvements for Town and Parish Councils. Unfortunately there are certain schemes to which this money is not available and I quote below:

What schemes will not be considered?

Bids for minor traffic management changes such as speed limits or waiting restrictions will not qualify.

This will be a disappointment to residents of Griston who live on Caston Road, out to Little London, where it is hoped the 30mph restriction would be moved to from its' existing location between the church and the Waggon & Horses. If residents feel strongly enough they are free to write to Martin Wilby at County Hall to express their views - they already know that they have the support of the Parish Council.
